While contemplating 2016, I realize that my life centers on the fact that I believe in God. The scripture says in Hebrews 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. NKJV   We must believe God is. There is evidence of God everywhere I look from the heavens to the majestic mountains and the flowing plains.

I noticed one day how the day and night came every day. Time could be set by their accuracy. The moon, the stars and the sun were certain distances from the earth. Seasons were determined by the earth’s rotation in relationship to the sun. In all that, I saw a grand design.           The scripture says, without faith, you can’t please Him. Faith, simply put, is believing the Bible is true. It is a record from God about His Son, Jesus Christ. God wants mankind to believe in Him. There are promises to the person who will believe that enhances your life, your hopes and dreams. Who doesn’t want life to have purpose, who doesn’t need a miracle at times, hope with results?

The Bible tells the story of a woman with a serious blood disorder. Mark 5:25-30 25 Now a certain woman had a flow of blood for twelve years,26 and had suffered many things from many physicians. She had spent all that she had and was no better, but rather grew worse.27 When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment.28 For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well.”

29 Immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up, and she felt in her body that she was healed of the affliction.30 And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him, turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” NKJV

Remember what happened to her? Let me show you how miracles happen to people.

1. She heard good news about Jesus healing people. The first step was she believed in Him. Scripture says if you believe in Him, believe He is, believe you can receive, you will and she did.

2. She said to herself, “If I can touch His clothes, I’ll be healed.” What did God say? Believe in Him and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. 3. She went to where He was. She took action. You can be in the wrong place sometimes! Go after the rewarder of faith and you will find Him.
3. Jesus always recognizes faith based in scripture. She gave testimony of her healing.

Years ago my mother, my grandmother, aunts, and others lived a life of hope and faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. Yes, my life centers on my faith in God.

In 2016, you too, can center your life around faith in God because HE IS.
