We believe 2013 is “The Year of Triumph” for the Church. God wants us to continually grow in knowledge and experience in our Christian life. Someone once said, ”Man would always be pushing the boundaries of life and achievement.” Somebody has to climb the mountain; somebody has to expand technology; discover better ways of doing things, and on and on. To allow ourselves to get complacent will rob us of many victories the Lord has for us.
My whole life changed when I saw that Jesus had already won the battle for us. He came that we might be saved and victorious.
John 3:17 For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. NKJV
The Greek word for saved is sozo which means heal, preserve, save, do well, be whole and protect.
Knowing this can make us more aware of the power of the word of God that was sent to deliver us from all our destructions.
Psalm 107:20 He sent His word and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions. NKJV
2 Corinthians 2:14-15 Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. NKJV
A person becomes that which he or she is aware of and tends to focus on. For instance, Kenneth Copeland began to bring a message many years ago that can catapult your Christian life forward. The theme was “Righteous Consciousness, instead of “sin consciousness.”
2 Corinthians 5:20-21 Now then, we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were pleading through us: we implore you on Christ’s behalf, be reconciled to God.21 For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. NKJV
This is a gift of righteousness, not payment; not wages; someone else paid our price. The awareness or consciousness of this truth began to change my confidence level to an extraordinary high. We are righteous by God’s decree through Jesus Christ. Abraham was declared righteous because he believed God.
Romans 4:17….. he believed – God…… 21 and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform. 22 And therefore “it was accounted to him for righteousness.” NKJV
Becoming conscious of righteousness unlocks your spirit to do the right thing before God more and more; not less as some would think.
Remember whatever God promises in His Word; He will do it for you.
1 John 5:4-5 For whatever is born of God is victorious over the world; and this is the victory that conquers the world, even our faith. Who is it that is victorious over [that conquers] the world but he who believes that Jesus is the Son of God [who adheres to, trusts in, and relies on that fact]? AMP
The Greek word for victory is nike which means to conquer, overcome, prevail, and get the victory. This term nike; is always God’s intention for us. Every time you see victory in the Bible that is your position scripturally in life. God declares it through Jesus Christ.
Every Christian has the potential of victory in every situation because Jesus won it for us!
Awareness comes from the universal law of focus.
Proverbs 25:5 As a man thinks in his heart so is he.
The reason right thinking is so important is that the mind is our staging and clearing house to process thought and information. This is where we will decide to use or discard information received.
This is where our choices are formulated for action. The Law of Concentration states that whatever we dwell on grows in our life experience. Whatever we think about on a continual basis becomes a part of us. Yes, we become what we think, and the more we dwell on something, the more we have of it in our lives.
I used this truth in learning to ski and play golf; however I first learn it in getting healed of arthritis many years ago.
2 Corinthians 10:5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalted itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; KJV
The definition of imaginations is: the imagine-making power of the mind; the power to create or reproduce ideally an object of sense previously perceived; the power to call up mental imagines.
When believing for healing of arthritis, I set an image of running, jumping and great joy. I saw what I believed I received in faith. Faith will always lead us to see the right images in your mind. If we allow the wrong images in our mind, it is like unknowingly letting the devil in.
Paul gave us some important guide lines:
I Thessalonians 5:23 Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.24 He who calls you is faithful, who also will do it. NKJV
When we get saved, our spirit is regenerated by the Holy Spirit, but our mind must be renewed by the word of God.
Romans 12:.2 And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. NKJV
Let’s look at three very important words: 1) conformed-pattern or fashion.
2) transformed-metamorphose or to transfigure, change the image. 3) renovation-take out the old for the new.
The Word of God is spirit and is truth (John 6:63), now, add that to Christ being the Anointed One and His anointing. The anointing removes burdens and destroys the yokes that bind us.
Success and victory come in every circumstance by the Word of God being continually in your mouth and then acting on the Word. Talk and dwell on the Word, not your problems and the Devil won’t have much to work with in your life.
Prayer: Father God, Thank You for the victory provided for me by Your Son, Jesus Christ. Please help me to keep Your Word in my mouth and to act on Your Word.
In Jesus Name, amen!
