SEEING DESTINY IN THE OBVIOUS

It seems as though every Christian seeking the will of God for their lives, questions the obvious. The obvious you ask, “What is that?” The Bible of course. It is amazing how much of the will of God is clearly contained in the scriptures.

Isaiah 55:8-9 “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the LORD. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.” NKJV

You may wonder, “How am I to know His higher ways?”  The answer begins with the obvious, reading the Bible. Many think the Bible is an old book, outdated and antiquated; however, the Bible is living word, not subject to time in its insights and revelations for mankind.  All of the enemies of the Bible from the past have disappeared, yet the Bible is still the bestselling book ever. It contains wisdom that even the Founding Fathers of the United States quoted frequently.

Millions around the world are still finding salvation, answers to complex questions, and especially hope for their future. They are finding God is for them and not against them.

Isaiah, speaking God’s Word, gives us assurance, the word contains direction.

Isaiah 55:11 So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to Me void, But it shall accomplish what I please, And it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it. NKJV

So, how do we know what the Word is saying to us? We just need to read what it says. When we get information from companies they do not send an interpreter with it. There are many times we wish we had one. We start by reading their information slowly and after a while we begin to see some light. The scripture is obvious in so much of its message. You may ask, “What is the point?”  Read the obvious as obvious and it will prosper you when you apply it. There are great churches to help you understand God’s message, go to one consistently. The more you know of the word of God, the easier it will be for Him to show you His will for your life.

One of the most important truths of the Bible is God is love.

1 John 4:8-11 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.9 In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.10 In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. NKJV

God, in His love for us, distinctly created man from the rest of creation. Man is a spiritual being who has not only a body, but also a soul and spirit. He is a moral being whose intelligence, perception and self-determination far exceed that of any other earthly species. You can’t find man’s origin without God. We are created as speaking spirits with reasoning insights and moral responsibility. You are called to reign and rule in harmony with God’s Word.

These values or properties possessed by man give him intrinsic value because he has been created in God’s image, plus we are able to return His love. These enablement’s give us an accountability and responsibility toward our heavenly Father to live a life of quality.  We should strive to do the best we can, to reach for the highest levels attainable to us.  We are all not the same, but we all have a place in God’s order. Love gives each one of us value beyond anything we may do, yet the will of God is found best in doing what you know as a Christian. In reading the Bible, I have found the church in every generation has a destiny.

Romans 8:28-30 And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. For whom He foreknew, He also predestined to be conformed to the image of His Son, that He might be the firstborn among many brethren. Moreover whom He predestined, these He also called; whom He called, these He also justified; and whom He justified, and these He also glorified. NKJV

Do not say, “I can’t,” but say, “I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.” You are empowered by your calling, your destiny and your desire. God is on your side; call on Him to take you higher from where you are at today. Don’t try to leap over where you are now; start there. He will justify you, and take you to your destiny. Start now.

Prayer; Father, in Jesus name, I thank you for showing me your will for me by the spirit of wisdom and revelation. Open my eyes to see Your truth through the scriptures. Amen
