We are not just spectators of a religion, but we are participants of a faith. If you start to see your faith as more than a religion, but rather a lifestyle it may change the things that you do. Because in a religion you just go through rituals and motions because you have to, but when a faith becomes your lifestyle, it becomes your passion, it rules your heart and mind, and dictates what you do and do not do.   (Author unknown)

This is so important to dynamic Christian living. Many who go to church regularly see faith more as a ritual than dynamic living.

James 1:22-25 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.23 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror;24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. NKJV

 Faith is so much more than a ritual of religious beliefs. Faith is a dynamic given to believers so they can receive from God. In Hebrews 11:1, 2 says that faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen. We read of people in the Bible receiving blind eyes opened; leprosy healed; withered hand restored; fevers dismissed by a word and much more. These are dynamic examples for us so it is time to exercise ourselves in faith to receive the Lord working on our behalf.

Mark 11:24 Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them. NKJV

How are you going to move from being a spectator to a participant without engaging faith? We are on the verge of outstanding signs and wonders happening.

Jesus is coming back for a glorious church. That means He is and will be looking for people through who He can show Himself strong on their behalf.

Mark 16:20 And they went out and preached everywhere, the Lord working with them and confirming the word through the accompanying signs. NKJV

We have good men and women of God preaching the word of God everywhere, so believe through faith for God to supernaturally answer your prayers.

It is my passion for people to start actively believing God. This passion is not only for me to receive something, but for you to receive your needs met. Beth and I have received a dynamic new eternal life through salvation. We have received healing many times. We have received a ministry of 35 years. We have a great marriage of 52 years. God has blessed us and still is in supernatural ways. Beth and I want this for you.

Luke 4:18-19 The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me To preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the broken hearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, To set at liberty those who are oppressed;19 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.  NKJV

 Spectators have many of these situations in their lives. Jesus proclaimed these situations as the purpose of the gospel. He wants to set you free. The anointing means to remove the burden and destroy the yoke according to Isaiah 10:27. Don’t just be a hearer, seek it out. See if it is true. Read Bible accounts of signs and wonders. The people were people like you, who needed help. Don’t ignore the power of God to heal and deliver you.

Also don’t neglect what has been given to you through faith in Him.  If a man in a row boat is nearing Niagara Falls, all he has to do is ignore the oars and he’ll go over and drown. If a man has a business, yet doesn’t give attention to it, it will fail.

Our fight is the good fight of faith. (1Timothy 6:12) Faith is the victory that overcomes the world, (1John 5:4) The prayer of faith will save the sick and the Lord will raise him up.(James 5:15)

The statement that revolutionized the church in Martin Luther’s time was and still is: “The Just shall live by faith.” It is time to give up the spectator position. This is not about arm chair quarterbacking on Sunday afternoon. It is about changing your life and every bad situation.

There is nothing impossible to Him that believes.

Lord, forgive me for not calling on You in my life’s challenges. I know you are greater than them. I believe you want to help me make it through them safely. Help me to understand the power of Your Word.  In Jesus Name, amen.
