The power of principles and truths affect our lives continuously because they are universal laws of life. The scriptures reveal to us the manner in which we can have a successful relationship with God through Jesus Christ. Jesus said; Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, “If you abide in My word, you are My disciples indeed.32 And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:31-32
The term abide, means to continue, make a commitment. Commitment is translated by the verb “to commit”(Labor, Minister, Trade, Work). of a continuous habit, equivalent to practice what you are committed to; i.e. the life of being a Christian.
Did you hear what it said? Commitment is a decision implemented through practice. (Continuous habit) You are not committed because you say so, but because you continue to do so. Once again, the scripture verifies the truth for us. A universal law of relationship with Christ is shown in commitment.
James 1:23-25 For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; 24 for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was. 25 But he who looks into the perfect law of liberty and continues in it, and is not a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work, this one will be blessed in what he does. NKJV
Our subject is Unleashing the Glory of God through believing the word of God. Remember glory is the manifest presence of God. So, what does the Scripture say to do?
Philippians 4:8-9 And now, dear brothers and sisters, one final thing. Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable, and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable. Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise. 9 Keep putting into practice all you learned and received from me—everything you heard from me and saw me doing. Then the God of peace will be with you. NLT
A universal law is invisible, yet, still affects the tangible world we live in. It is the laws of the Word of God that have the power to change your world. Take for instance the law given in Proverbs 18:21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Make a commitment to speak for three days “good things happen to me continuously” or “Jesus is on my side” and “He supplies all my needs according to His riches in glory.” Here is another one for you; “I have the favor of the Lord and it surrounds me in all my life.” Psalm 5:12 For You, O LORD, will bless the righteous; With favor You will surround him as with a shield. NKJV
Now, you might be thinking all this is too positive. What about the negative events all around us? As already stated; universal laws do affect the tangible world we live in.
Jesus has come to save us, not condemn us. You have enough against you already.
Make a commitment to speak good things about life and take destructive words and attitudes out of your conversation for three days. Here are some more encouraging words for you.
Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He
who promised is faithful. NKJV
Mark 11:22-24 “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to
this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his
heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever
he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray,
believe that you receive them, and you will have them. NKJV
Now, whatever your mountain may be, you need to apply faith to your words. Faith gives substance to hope for your life and situations. Faith receives from the beginning what the Word of God has promised. It is a universal law of the Lord’s and therefore your tangible world will be affected by your words. Remember life and death are in the power of the tongue. Let us know what happens. PO Box is on the web site and/or by email. One more time; commitment is not just saying you are, but doing it continuously.
Prayer: Father I am surrounded by your favor and your love. Thank you for hearing my prayers, please help me speak good things according to your universal laws. In Jesus name, amen.
