When God said in Genesis … “Let there be light”; and there was light.” This was on the first day; the sun and the moon were created on the fourth day. I believe that first declaration of light was when the Lord, Himself, got involved in the condition of the earth. His presence brought light that started the process of the whole creation. The absence of light is the absence of revelation, inspiration, Illumination and the creativity for human development. This is why the Word says: Matthew 7:7 “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 8 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. NIV
The very presence of God in our lives, our country, and all our efforts give us insight and ability to see and do the impossible. I have said this many times, everything you can see, touch and feel came from the invisible realm. Houses, cars buildings, clothes, cities, etc. came through the light on the inside of a person with vision or an idea of how to accomplish a dream.
A carpenter once said, “It sure takes a long time to drive a nail in the dark.” The church will never get all God has for us here, if we allow the Devil to keep us in the dark. That darkness may be ignorance of a good God, or it could be fear. It could be a lack of confidence, ability, or opportunity. There is a treasure in the believer that is of great value. Not only is it of great value to the individual but too many others.
Faith is a powerful substance given by God to believers to accomplish the impossible.
Hebrews 11:1-2 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report.
You are God’s field under cultivation. He deposited Himself in each of us as believers.
You must cultivate your faith. It needs the seeds that the Word of God provides. You must water the seeds continually as rain upon the ground. The rain comes forth through your confession of faith but you must keep it flowing. Hebrews 10:23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) KJV
Get a clear vision inside of what the Lord has shown you. His wisdom gives you the ability to see ideas and direction to achieve plans and dreams.
Please learn to take time to pray over God’s leading in your life. Don’t be a McDonald’s Christian. Powerful living isn’t done by driving through quickly, but developing the ideas or plans with patient expectation. God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
A preacher named Russell Conwell preached this message 6,000 times around the world. It was called Acres of Diamonds. It was first published in 1890.
The central idea of the work is that one need not look elsewhere for opportunity, achievement, or fortune—the resources to achieve all good things are present in one’s own community. This theme is developed by an introductory about a man who wanted to find diamonds so badly that he sold his property and went off in futile search for them;
He later died a pauper. The new owner of his farm discovered that a rich diamond mine was located right there on the property. That man was out surveying his land when he saw something sparkling in the sunlight. On further investigation he found a beautiful diamond. Conwell elaborates on the theme through examples of success, genius, service, or other virtues involving ordinary Americans contemporary to his audience: “dig in your own back-yard!”
Let it be known among us today, we have this treasure in earthen vessels. Begin your journey where you are; you will find the blessings of the Lord makes one rich and adds no sorrow.” Let the Holy Spirit shine God’s light on you today.
Prayer:
Father in Jesus name let me be aware of all you have given me already. I know there are wonderful opportunities, so I pray for the wisdom to recognize your hand in my life. Give me a compassionate heart and attitude for the needs of others. Help me speak faith and hope streaming from your promises. I thank you and praise you. Amen.
