Matthew 12:34 For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. 35 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good things.  NKJV

God has created us to work with Him in determining the direction and outcome of our lives we live for Him.  He gives us the direction and inspiration from His Word.  The heart is figuratively the mind, thoughts, will and emotions. So when we are bringing forth our concepts we live by we need to know what His will is.

A person must know that their words have power because words define the purpose and direction of their lives. Your words let others know what you are thinking and the results of your meditations. Our goal is to line our words up with Gods promises.  If you allow your thinking to be limited by your own experiences, you will continually repeat your past in one form or another.

God wants us to prosper and be in health. (3rd John v.2)  In Genesis 26:22 Isaac had trouble with the herdsmen of the area, but he dug a third well and the Lord blessed Him to prosper. He could have given up, started complaining that it wasn’t working; however, God said it would and it did.

Remember the woman with the issue of blood? (Mark 25: 25-32) She had been to all the doctors she could find, was broke and still no better. She would not give up!  She said to herself, “I’ll be healed when I touch Jesus’ garments.”  She pressed forward and was made whole. Don’t let the failures of your past determine your future.

God has promised to bless you, prosper you and help you achieve His plans and purposes for your life.  You can change the mental and emotional barriers that limit you by meditating on the promises of God and speaking them back to yourself.  The Lord said “nothing is impossible to him that believes.” Let me give you an example:  A group of researchers were studying the conditioning process, placed many minnows and a large pike in one aquarium.   A pike is a large fish which thrives on minnows.  They put a pane of glass in the middle of the tank separating the pike from the minnows.  The pane was left in position for several weeks separating them.  Every time the pike tried to eat the minnows, he would hit his nose on the pane of glass.

Then one day the scientists removed the pane of glass. The pike swam freely all around the minnows, but he didn’t eat even one. He had been conditioned by the pane of glass, so he assumed he couldn’t eat the minnows anymore.  He eventually died of starvation, surrounded by an abundance of minnows that he believed he could no longer eat.

In the same way you or I could assume the wrong conclusion because of past conditioning.  However, when you push back the carnal thoughts which come against your mind and choose the perfect will of God, speaking and thinking those thoughts in line with His will, you will see your fondest dreams come true. Don’t let your heart be deceived, it is the truth that sets you free. It is God’s Word that contains the power to change you and your circumstances starting now.

Prayer: Father, in Jesus name, I repent for letting the past keep me in unbelief.  This day I will start renewing my mind and the things I meditate on to agree with the promises you have given. I will start confessions over my life to break away from the conditioning of the past. I am blessed and free to accomplish your will for my life as you reveal it to me.   Thank you and praise you.  In Jesus Name, Amen!
