The times in which we are living are difficult, frightening and discouraging for many people. However, as a Christian you can have peace, joy, prosperity, and be
encouraged despite the situation of the world in which you live. Your attitude will make all the difference in how your circumstances affect your life. As the saying goes,
attitude determines altitude.
of inner emotion reacting to surrounding stimulus.
Ephesians 3:16 that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man. NKJV
Dr. Victor Frankl, a Jewish prisoner, stood under the glaring lights of the Gestapo court in a Nazi concentration camp; soldiers had taken away from Victor every earthly possession – his clothes, his watch, even his wedding ring. Dr. Frankl stood there naked; his body shaved before those cruel men, men who tried to take every ounce of dignity from him. At that moment Dr. Frankel said that he realized he was destitute except for one thing, he still had something that no one could take away from him, not even the Nazi’s. He still had the power to choose his own attitude. And he chose to not give that attitude to his enemies. He chose joy, he chose hope, and he chose to have a positive attitude.
Ephesians 4:23 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude. AMP
Your attitude can change very quickly, if it is not set by guidelines and purposes, because attitude is very much related to your mental state. Attitudes can be changed, however they are developed through actions and reactions to life’s challenges.
Faith is based upon trust in God’s promises to you. The scripture says “Keep your heart with all diligence.” (Prov. 4:23) Some truths to remind your thinking, so victory is the result are: You are called an “overcomer” by the Word of God. (I John 5:4) You are called “more than a conqueror” by the Word of God. (Rom 8:37)
You might wonder, how can I keep a good attitude in desperate times? First of all you must learn to keep an attitude of faith in all circumstances. The Bible tells us in Mark 11:23 Have faith in God. Paul quotes Jesus in Hebrews13:5,6…. I will never leave you nor forsake you.” So we may boldly say: “The LORD is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” NKJV The statement “what can man do to me,” doesn’t mean mankind can knock you around but can’t take your salvation. No, it means keep your mind set on the delivering power of Jesus Christ. His word to you, His power to you, and His ability on your behalf is far greater than man’s. No man can stand before you, to stop Jesus from delivering you.
God is never taken by surprise due to the events in your life. He is always for you, He can always deliver and set you free.
Ephesian 4:23-24 And be constantly renewed in the spirit of your mind [having a fresh mental and spiritual attitude], And put on the new nature (the regenerate self) created in God’s image, [Godlike] in true righteousness and holiness. Amp
The Bible tells us about the Lord’s great power to deliver and keep us. Jesus told us, we would receive what we believed. If the enemy can get you to believe that your circumstances are too difficult for you to conquer, he has the ability to take advantage of you.
Your words will either empower or eliminate the enemy’s ability to wreak havoc in your life. The woman with the issue of blood in Mark chapter 25 said, “If I can touch His garment, I shall be healed.” She didn’t ask anyone, she was of Abraham’s seed and covenant and that was enough for her
The enemy is powerless to impact your life unless you give him the power by how you communicate your current situation with the words you speak or the things you confirm in writing or action. A person who knows they already have the blessing cannot be cursed.
So change your attitude and you will change your life even in these “difficult times”.
